Logo submiSSION for SAS 2017 logo competition

The Society for Affective Science is a professional organization and holds a annual conference that showcases the latest in scientific research on affect and emotions. They held a competition for a new logo. My goals were to evoke the intensity and range of emotional experiences, convey the technical detail and the complexity of the scientific enterprise, and bring a modern feel to the branding.
